Cruising 2020

In February of 2020 we set sail for Fort Lauderdale from Fort Pierce. Only made it one day before my doctor called me back for further tests (all turned out a-ok but resulted in several weeks delay). When we were ready to depart again, Covid had hit days before and we decided to stay put. Becca then joined us when Cornell went all online in mid-March. It was great having her with us. Though our pool and fitness center were closed, we rode bikes, kayaked, walked and snuck onto a deserted beach several times. Like everyone else, lots of home cooking, game playing and quality time. We went to see Jay and Caitlin in May before heading back to Bflo. On May 23, we left Fort Pierce on High Hopes at 7 am, sailed overnight to Fernandina Beach arriving at 4 pm the next day. It was nice to have a third person for night shift sharing. Becca stayed onboard until Wrightsville Beach where she flew home to Bflo. We were so happy to have had her with us for 12 weeks!
